Grind my gears
A blog’s the right place to release this stuff right? Here are some things that really grind my gears.
- Shop assistants who give you the receipt and the change (including notes) in the same hand.
- American police chase shows, where they show you the video then feel it necessary to show highlights of the same video immediately after, with annoying sarcastic commentary.
- Middle lane hogs.
- People with strong body odour on trains.
- People with headphones on on trains, where you can just hear the tinny noise of the music.
- Tedious menu systems on support lines.
- People who put ice in my drink even though I specifically ask for no ice please.

My absolute personal hate is when you’re having a conversation with somebody, and no matter what you say they keep on changing the subject to something different every sentance. That really brings down the red mist…

Just thought of another one: Pedestrians who press the button to cross at pelican crossings, then actually look, realise they can safely cross after all and leave the poor driver to sit at an unnecessary red light.

To expand on the headphones point:
People who play music out loud on their mobile phones. No one requested a concert, and it usually sounds like tin can crap anyway. I blame the mobile makers for that one…

I hate it when you watch a movie with someone and they start commenting on how unrealistic everything is. It’s a movie, deal with it!

Really…this is the worst that you have…you know what grinds my gears…people that complain about things that aren’t worth complaining about! Really…people walking slowly in the middle of town is your biggest issue?
What about people that get on an elevator to ride it up one floor. That grinds my gears!
